Proverbs 19:20-21 (KJV) Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.
Similar to how the Lord is wise, you too can gain wisdom by acting as He does: by listening. We can learn much more from listening than we can by talking, and the Bible is filled with stories of the wisest doing exactly that. Like King Solomon solving the problem of the child with two mothers, we can examine a situation with our ears, wisely deciding the best course of action.
