Are you dealing with what looks like an unmovable obstacle? It is probably a problem too complicated to solve, a project beyond your ability, a sin too tempting to overcome, or a situation over that you have no control. Facing such matters can make us feel weak, helpless, and vulnerable. But always keep in mind that we’ve got an All powerful God, and nothing is too hard for Him.
Zerubbabel was a Jewish leader who, together with 50,000 of his countrymen, returned to Jerusalem from Babylonian captivity. They set about rebuilding the temple, however the obstacles were many. The people became disheartened, so God gave His prophet Zechariah a vision to inspire them. The message reminded Zerubbabel that progress is made “not through might nor through strength, but through My Spirit” (Zech. 4:6). David conquered Goliath not with his muscles but through the Spirit of God – 1Sam 17:46. Samson placed the Philistines under pressure because of the Spirit of God working in him. It’s the Spirit of God that uses man and God can be glorified. Jesus taught us to speak to our mountains.
This same truth applies to us today. Your barriers may appear to be mountains too large to move, and in your own strength, they truly are. But as a believer, you have the strength of the Holy Spirit inside you, to offer you His comfort, joy, peace, patience, power and to talk to those mountains. In Isaiah 40:4, God guarantees us that EVERY MOUNTAIN will be made low. regardless of how huge or what number of the mountains standing before you are, through the strength of God, they’re all going to be brought down, in Jesus mighty name, AMEN!
